During the absence of the Chairman of the Parliament (10 Jan 1919 - 12 Mar 1919) who departed on a diplomatic mission, the Deputy Chairmen of the Parliament exercised the functions of presiding officer.

  1. The Parliament was adjourned sine die on 31 Jan 1919. Three extraordinary sessions were held on 18, 19 and 20 Feb 1919. It was formally dissolved on the day of the convening of the Constituent Assembly (12 Mar 1919) in accordance with a resolution passed by the Parliament on 31 Jan 1919.
  2. Chkheidze presided at the sessions of the Parliament to 5 Jan 1919. After his departure on a diplomatic mission, his deputies chaired the sessions.
  3. Baratashvili and Taq’aishvili were elected Deputy Chairmen of the National Council on 1 Jun 1918 and continued in office after 8 Oct 1918 when the National Council was renamed the Parliament.
