- A resolution of the Council, approved on 16/26 Aug 1659, fixed the 14-day terms of presidency for each member in order of appointment by the Act of Parliament of 19/29 May 1659. Charles Fleetwood declined to serve and Sir Henry Vane was requested to chair the meeting on 17/27 Aug 1659 (morning). At the next meeting, 17/27 Aug 1659 (afternoon), Sir Arthur Hesilrigg assumed the presidency as the second on the list of the members.
- The Order Books for 1660 are missing. Love signed the warrants as President of the Council to 30 Jan/9 Feb 1660 inclusively. The earliest warrant signed by Harrington as President is dated 31 Jan/10 Feb 1660.
