- Endecott, who had departed for America in 1628, was "confirmed" as governor (before 17/27 Apr 1629) and then formally elected by a General Court held in London on 30 Apr/10 May 1629. The Charter and a letter from the Company, containing the information on his "confirmation," were delivered to Massachusetts in Jun/Jul 1629.
- Winthrop was elected and took oath of office at a General Court held in London on 20/30 Oct 1629 and arrived to Naumkeag (Salem) on 12/22 Jun 1630.
