- Drobný was authorized to exercise the functions of President of the Provincial Government in accordance with a decision of the minister of the interior of Czechoslovakia issued on 30 Jun 1928, pending his appointment to the office of Provincial President by the President of the Czechoslovak Republic. The substantial appointment followed on 8 Nov 1928, but the style in official from 1 Jul 1928 use was Krajinský prezident.

- Šimko was entrusted with temporary management of the provincial government by a decree of the minister of the interior of Slovakia of 11 Oct 1938 and took office on 12 Oct 1938. Following the recognition of autonomy of Slovakia on 23 Nov 1938 and proclamation of its independence on 14 Mar 1939, the functions of the Provincial President were reduced and subordinated to the President of the Government. The provincial government was formally abolished on 31 Dec 1939.
