[2]	Following the capture of Maduro by the armed forces of the United States and his forced departure on 3 Jan 2026, the functions of the President of the Republic devolved on Executive Vice-President of the Republic Rodríguez. On the same day, the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Tribunal of Justice (Sala Constitucional del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia) ordered Rodríguez to assume the functions of the President. She took the oath of office on 5 Jan 2026.
