- Eaton and Goodyear were elected joint magistrates on 27 Oct/6 Nov 1641 and re-elected on 26 Oct/5 Nov 1642.
- Eaton died during the night of 7/8 Jan 1657/58 (Old Style). The office of Governor became vacant, and the functions devolved on Deputy Governor Goodyear, but he had departed for England where he died in 1658.
