Switzerland: Landammanns: 1803-1813
Since 1 Jan 1804, the office of Landammann alternated among the chief executives of six cantons (Schultheiß of Fribourg, Schultheiß of Bern, Schultheiß of Solothurn, Bürgermeister of Basel, Bürgermeister of Zürich, and Schultheiß of Lucerne) in the order prescribed by Art. 13 of the federal constitution of 1803. A handover ceremony was normally held on January 1 except as noted.

- Von Affry was appointed Landammann of Switzerland (Landammann de la Suisse) by the Act of Mediation (Acte de médiation) for the year 1803 and assumed office upon the issuance of a proclamation at Fribourg on 10 Mar 1803.
