[1] | Chin A Sen was appointed by a decree of the National Army and assumed the office on 13 Aug 1980. He was confirmed in office by a decree of the Military Authority (Militair Gezag) of 14 Aug 1980 and sworn in on 15 Aug 1980. The state power was "unconditionally transferred" to the Military Authority effective 16:00 4 Feb 1982 in accordance with a presidential decree of 4 Feb 1982. The resignation of Chin A Sen (dated 4 Feb 1982) was accepted by the Military Authority by a decree of 5 Feb 1982 (to be effective 10:00 8 Feb 1982). |
[2] | Misier was appointed the provisional head of state by a decree of the Military Authority of 7 Feb 1982 with immediate effect. His term is deemed to have commenced on that date as Chin A Sen had formally transferred the state power to the Military Authority. |
[3] | Acting on the demand from the military authorities communicated to the government on 24 Dec 1990, Shankar submitted his resignation to the National Assembly on 27 Dec 1990. The resignation was kept "under consideration" until the election of his successor. Shankar formally transferred the office to Kraag at a public ceremony held on 29 Dec 1990. |
