  1. The substitution of the adjective (neuvostotasavallan) formed from neuvostotasavalta (Soviet Republic) with the Russianized version (sovettitasavallan) began after 11 Mar 1936.
  2. Original name (Finnish): Alexander Nyberg (changed to Santeri Nuorteva in 1906).
  3. Arhipov was discharged by a resolution of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee appoved on 25 Sep 1937. During the vacancy, the functions of the Chairman of the Central Executive Committee were exercised by one of the members of the Presidium of the Central Executive Commitee.
  4. After the adoption of the Constitution of the USSR (5 Dec 1936), the order of words was changed from "Socialist Soviet" to "Soviet Socialist" in Russian version, but was preserved in Finnish.
