The name of the state as changed in accordance the Constitution of the Federal People's Republic of Yugoslavia which came into operation on the adoption by the Constituent Assembly of Yugoslavia on 31 Jan 1946. The name of the National Assembly of Macedonia was changed to the National Assembly of the People's Republic of Macedonia in accordance with a law passed by the Presidium of the National Assembly on 8 Mar 1946.
