  1. This version of the style is attested in princely decrees of 1910. Earlier forms lacked the introductory part.
  2. Original name: Danilo Stankov Petrović (Данило Станков Петровић). Serving as the lord of Montenegro (vladika|владика), Danilo was designated prince by a popular assembly held in Cetinje in March 1852 during his absence from the country. A declaration signed by the Montenegrin nobility, clergy and officials on 7/19 Mar 1852 petitioned the Emperor of Russia, a protecting power of Montenegro, to approve their action. Staying in St. Petersburg, Danilo secured consent of the Emperor Nikolaj and returned to Montenegro where he was solemnly proclaimed and took the oath of office on 9/21 Sep 1852 as evident from a Russian diplomat's report published in Rovinskij, 3:22.
  3. Original name: Nikola Mirkov Petrović (Никола Мирков Петровић).
