- Kings named Bu (否|부) and Jun (准|준) are mentioned in the Records of the Three States, ch. 30, quoting the lost text of Wèilüé (魏略), as flourishing c. 221 BC and c. 209/195 BC respectively, but their names are not found in earlier sources (e.g. Historical Records, ch. 115, and Book of Han, ch. 95).
- The 1st-century BC Historical Records, ch. 115, and the 1st-century AD Book of Han, ch. 95, refer to this ruler as Man (滿|만). The much later 3rd-century Wèilüé, as quoted in the Records of the Three States, ch. 30, and subsequent sources mention him as Wiman (衛滿|위만), seemingly mistaking Wi (衛|위) for a Chinese surname (explicitely so in the comments of Sīmǎ Zhēn to the Historical Records [Shǐjì suǒ yǐn|史記索隱], ch. 25). More plausibly though, this is a Korean name, similar to those used in Buyeo and Goguryeo, and which in Chinese sources was shortened to a single character — in line with Chinese naming patterns at the time.
- The Historical Records, ch. 115, assert that Man was succeeded by his son not mentioned by name.
