[1] | Bonaparte was "acclaimed" as Presidente della Repubblica Cisalpina in accordance with a decree approved by Consulta straordinaria of the Cisalpine Republic at the session held on 25 Jan 1802 in Lyon, France. He accepted the office at the session of the Consulta of 26 Jan 1802 when the Constitution of the Italian Republic was adopted. |
