[1] | Ferdinando III was proclaimed the Grand Duke of Tuscany by a proclamation of comandante generale militare di Toscana on 27 Apr 1814. The transfer of supreme authority from the commanders-in-chief of the armies of the Empire of Austria and the Kingdom of Naples (Two Sicilies) to the commissioner plenipotentiary of the Grand Duke took place in Florence on 1 May 1814. Ferdinando III arrived to the capital on 17 Sep 1814. |
