Finland: Heads of State: 1919-2024The Constitution of 1919 (effective 1919-2000) and the Constitution of 1999 (effective from 2000) routinely refer to the office as Tasavallan Presidentti (Finnish) and Republikens President (Swedish). The style referred to in the presidential affirmation of office in both Constitutions is Suomen tasavallan presidentti (Finnish) and President för republiken Finland (Swedish). |
