- The name of the Diet was formally approved by its resolution of 5/18 Jul 1917: Eesti Ajutine Maanõukogu (in Russian: Vremennyj Èstljandskij Gubernskij zemskij sovet, Временный Эстляндский губернский земский совет). Also in official use (in Estonian): Maapäev.
- The Diet held its last meeting 15/28 Nov 1917 before it was prevented from holding sessions by a military revolutionary committee in Tallinn, representing the Soviet Russian government.
- When the Diet reconvened in Tallinn 20 Nov 1918, Strandman who had been appointed a minister of the Provisional Government did not resume his office as chairman of the Diet.
- In office as Vice-Chairman of the Provisional Diet: 12/25 Oct 1917 - 27 Nov 1918.
- The Diet held its last meeting 6 Feb 1919 when it passed a resolution to delegate its authority to the Council of Elders (Vanematekogu) which continued to hold meetings to 13 Apr 1919.
