- The State Anti-Fascist Council was proclaimed the supreme legislative and executive authority of Croatia in accordance with a resolution approved by the Council at the session held between 21:00 8 May 1944 and 05:00 9 May 1944. Nazor was elected President of the Presidency shortly before 05:00 9 May 1944.
