[1] The accession of Zhào Kuāngyìn took place on 3 Feb 960 and was followed by an edict establishing Song as the name of the state on 4 Feb 960.
[2] Honorific titles (after abdication): Dào jūn huángdì (道君皇帝) [self-styled, 1126]; Jiàozhǔ dào jūn tàishàng huángdì (教主道君太上皇帝) [conferred, 1126].
[3] The army of Jin took control of the capital of Song in the prefecture (fǔ | ) of Kaifeng (now in the city of Kaifeng, Henan) on 9 Jan 1127. Qīnzōng signed an instrument of surrender on 15 Jan 1127 and was later imprisoned in the field camp of Jin (since 22 Feb 1127) outside the capital, where he was formally deposed on orders of the ruler of Jin on 20 Mar 1127.
