- According to the Xinian, 2, Píng wáng acceded only in 741 BC, after the 21-year reign of prince Yúchén (余臣) and a nine-year interregnum. The Bamboo Annals, ch. 4, dates both kings from 771 BC without acknowledging Yúchén as such, still calling him prince, 王子, when recording his murder in 750 BC, and thus ignoring any in-between interregnum. The Historical Records, ch. 4, disregards Yúchén, and any interregnum, completely, having Yíjiù succeed his father, Yōu wáng (幽王), alone in 771 BC.
- The death of Huì wáng is recorded in the Spring and Autumn Annals, ch. 5, as having occurred on 30 Nov 652 BC. Zuǒ zhuán, , Xī gōng, 7th year, claims that Huì wáng died in Nov/Dec 653 BC, and that his son, Xiāng wáng, did not announce the death until a year later.
- The death of Jǐng wáng is recorded in the Spring and Autumn Annals, ch. 10, under his 25th year, 4th month, day yǐchǒu (乙丑) which is an anachronism, probably resulting from the confusion of yǐchǒu (乙丑) and jǐchǒu (己丑), i.e. 13 Apr 520 BC.
