8 Jul 1792 the Province of Upper Canada is placed under the administration of the Lieutenant Governor and Council in accordance with a royal commission of 12 Sep 1791 which was read and published on 8 Jul 1792 at Kingston (Upper Canada Executive Council Minutes 1792-1796, p. 1)
