Armenia: Presidents and Vice Presidents of the Parliament: 1918-1920
During the absence of the President of the Parliament (5 Aug 1919 - 4 Nov 1920) who was elected in absentia and stayed abroad on a diplomatic mission, the Vice Presidents of the Parliament exercised the functions of presiding officer.

- The Council of Armenia was adjourned sine die on 4 Jun 1919 and was superseded by the Parliament.
- Aharonyan was elected in absentia and never assumed the presidency, staying abroad on a diplomatic mission.
- Original family name: Igitʻxanyan (Իգիթխանյան); Kʻaǰaznouni (Քաջազնունի) is also spelled Kʻačʻaznouni (Քաչազնունի).
- Original name: Nahašpetyan (Նահաշպետյան), also known as Sełbosyan (Սեղբոսյան).
- Šantʻ was elected Vice President of the Parliament in absentia (5 Aug 1919) and remained outside the national territory until his arrival to Armenia; took chair as presiding officer of the Parliament for the first time on 8 Dec 1919.
- Assumed the office of the President of the Parliament as the eldest deputy after the resignaiton of Araratyan (another vice-president Šantʻ being absent from Armenia).
