  1. In accordance with the Constitution of 1816, the term of Jennings as governor commenced "from and after the third day of the first session of the General assembly" which fell on 6 Nov 1816. He took the oath of office on 7 Nov 1816.
  2. Following the resignation of Hendricks submitted on 12 Feb 1825, the functions of Governor devolved on President pro tempore of the Senate Ray who took the oath of office on 14 Feb 1825.
