- Yeamans died between 3/13 Aug 1674 and 13/23 Aug 1674.
- Sir Richard Kyrle arrived in Carolina between 28 Jul/7 Aug 1684—the last date on which Morton signed a warrant as governor—and 30 Aug/9 Sep 1684, when Kyrle made his will. He died either on 30 Aug/9 Sep 1684 (the same day the will was made) or on 31 Aug/10 Sep 1684. Dame Mary Kyrle was named "widowe and Executrix of Sr. Richard Kyrle Knt" in her own will, made on 1/11 Sep 1684.
- West was most likely elected governor in early September 1684; the first extant warrant signed by him is dated 6/16 Sep 1684.
- West departed from Carolina after 15/25 Jun 1685—the date the last extant warrant was signed by him. Correspondence with the Lords Proprietors indicates that Quarry was elected by the Grand Council after Morton declined to serve. The election occurred on or before 12/22 Jul 1685, when Quarry signed the first warrant.
- It appears that Morton eventually consented to take office and assumed the government on or before 6/16 Oct 1685, when he signed his first warrant.
- After his expulsion from the governorship in Albemarle in Sep/Oct 1689, Sothel relocated to Charles Town, where he assumed the office of governor between 12/22 Jul 1690—when Colleton witnessed a land grant—and 21/31 Oct 1690, the date of a non-extant letter from Sothel to the Proprietors, apparently written to justify his actions.
