[1]	Ostrowski was elected and sworn in 5 Dec 1946 at the session of the City Council Assembly (Stadtverordnetenversammlung), but was prevented from taking office until the approval of the resignation of his predecessor, Werner, by the Allied Kommandatura of Groß-Berlin (Alliierte Kommandatura) 10 Dec 1946.
